Our vision is a world united against pediatric cancer, where awareness sparks action, resources create resilience, and no family ever walks this journey alone.
We picture a future where a diagnosis is met with a community, not isolation where families find a warm meal, a familiar hand, a moment of joy for their child, and people who simply understand. We carry O'Che's love into every hospital room, every family we reach, and every child fighting their own battle. That is how his light keeps shining: through the strength we help others find.
At just six months old, O'Che was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain cancer called ATRT: Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor. The prognosis was unfavorable, but O'Che and his parents were determined to fight with everything they had. And fight he did. For five brave months, O'Che battled with the heart of a warrior; brain surgery, chemotherapy, countless sedations, needle pokes, and long stretches in the hospital. Through all of it, his light never dimmed.
On July 14th, 2025, our precious warrior gained his angel wings. In that moment, the world and our world especially, lost a light; but heaven gained its brightest star. To honor his life and make sure his name continues to shine, his family founded The OChe Strong Foundation. What began as one family's love has grown into a mission to stand beside every family fighting pediatric cancer. His story will not fade. His strength will not be forgotten. His legacy lives on and it is only the beginning.
The OChe Strong Foundation was founded by O'Che's parents, Kadrin Williams and Recheyla Caldwell. They lived every moment of O'Che's journey — the diagnosis, the fight, the love, and the loss — and they refused to let his story end in grief. Out of the deepest kind of love, they built a foundation to make sure another family facing pediatric cancer would feel held. Their mission is simple and unwavering: keep O'Che's name shining, and turn their family's pain into strength for others. Every program we launch and every family we reach is an extension of the promise they made to their son.

We want to be known for showing up — for the families in the hospital waiting rooms, for the children fighting battles no child should have to face, and for the parents searching for hope on the hardest days. We are a young foundation, and we are growing with intention: listening to the families we serve, building programs that meet real needs, and welcoming everyone who wants to carry this light with us. When you connect with the OChe Strong Foundation, you become part of O'Che's legacy — and part of a community determined to make sure no family walks this journey alone.

We listen first — shaping our support around the real needs of the diverse families and communities we serve.
We partner with hospitals and community organizations to reach families who are often overlooked or under-resourced.
We design our programs to be accessible to families regardless of income, insurance status, or location.
Pediatric cancer does not discriminate, and neither do we. The OChe Strong Foundation is committed to supporting every family — across race, background, income, and circumstance — with the same dignity, warmth, and care. We are especially mindful of families who too often go unseen or underserved in healthcare, and we work to make sure our resources reach them. Inclusion isn't a statement for us; it's the practice of making sure no family is ever left out of the support they deserve.
